This is my third baby, and with all of them, I’ve had to exclusively pump due to various challenges. This is my first experience using a wearable pump, and I can’t thank Mumilk enough! I use two pumps, and they’ve truly been a game-changer. The convenience of being able to pump while caring for my baby or handling other tasks is incredible. It has saved me so much time, especially when I need to attend events or appointments. The Ella pumps make it all so effortless!
I’m obsessed with the Ella hands free pump! Being a mum of 2 it has taken the stress out of pumping. It is simple to use and easy to clean. I get about 180ml from one breast in 15 mins! I love it!!
I pulled the pump out to make sure it was working, because the pressure is so gentle! (See picture for result). It’s so light, easy to clean and quick. I bought the smaller size flange and it was really easy to pop in.
I am obsessed with my Ella pumps! I started having feeding issues with my baby when he was 5 weeks old and needed to start triple feeding (breastfeed, top up with expressed milk and pump) for every feed. This process was taking about 1-1.5hrs as he was such a slow feeder and I found that being tied to the spectra and unable to be hands free to settle him really affected me mentally. I ordered 2 Ella’s in the EOFY sale and they changed my life. Our feeding issues are (hopefully) resolving now after a tongue tie release but I have been pumping after every feed for 4 weeks now and the Ella pumps have been amazing. They’re so easy to use, I can hold my baby, I can make breakfast, I can drink water or a coffee, I even pump in the car sometimes. I love the fact that they fit in my bra’s, I tend not to use the extender as I find it’s a bit loose on it’s tightest setting, I think the fact that I can’t actually see the amount of milk that I’m pumping really helps my supply as I’m not constantly watching the milk drip out and worrying about how much I’m making. I’ve found that I pump just as much if not more than I did with the spectra and I really think it’s because I barely even know I’m pumping, it takes minimal effort and I can be with my baby and get the oxytocin flowing which really helps in the long run. The only ‘downside’ to using the pumps 6-7 times a day is that I know I’ll need to replace the parts every 3 months as recommended but honestly, that’s a small price to pay for a stress free pumping journey!
This is my second baby- our first 3 years ago I pumped with a spectra which I was so happy with (I don’t remember even seeing these style of pumps around back then?!) this time I decided to buy one of these pumps since i now have a busy toddler and thought it might be a handy option to have being able to pump and move around. This pump is all I’ve used, it’s just as if not more powerful than my spectra, I get so much more milk in a shorter amount of time. I can’t believe how good it is, I also love the freedom of being able to do other things while pumping. I 100% recommend buying yourself one (if not two!) if you’re planning on doing any pumping! I also got a pretty good return from my private health fund so make sure you look into that also!
